Only if I were a brave man,
I would stand for the truth and fight until I die.
Only if I were a brave man,
I would carry you on my back and clean the tears in your eyes.
Only if I were a brave man,
I would see the rose raise her head
rather than waste my time watching her wither and be dry to death.
Only if I were a brave man,
I would never let myself be bothered by the common life,
I would make the wave kiss my feet,
I would have the sun swallow and spit the fire of love for me.
Only if I were a brave man,
I would build a whole world instead of writing this poem under the sunshine.
